Stephen Sullivan
Stephen keeps Capital rolling through the night, but what's he up to when not playing all that great music?
Music...
What was the last CD you bought/track you downloaded? The very last song was Duffy - Warwick Avenue.
Most listened to track on my iPod: Snap! Rhythm Is A Dancer. Because it doesn't matter what type of day you've had, it's always a song you can blast out full volume.
Most embarrassing track on my iPod: DJ Otzi - Hey Baby. The shame!
First album you bought: My first compilation album was Now 20 - I still have it! (on cassette). My first actual album was Alanis Morisette "Jagged Little Pill" and it's still one of my favourite albums of all time.
Favourite gig you’ve ever been to: Britney Spears in Paris, when me and a mate were picked out of the audience to go up on stage!
Favourite live music venue: Has to be The O2 now. But for old times sake, Wembley Arena comes up there.
Life at Capital Radio...
What’s the best thing about having your own show on Capital? The best thing about being a DJ on Capital is being able to turn on the microphone and talk to the whole of London. And go through all the texts/emails/calls and know that people are listening and talking back. Playing songs that are so many people's favourites. And also working in Leicester Square and feeling like you're in the middle of the coolest city in the world!
Who would your ideal guest be? I would love to do a show with Paris Hilton. Purely for comedy value.
Favourite show on Capital: I love to know whats going on in town and learning about new music so in joint first place, it's Lucio's show and Des Paul's Capital Dance Anthems .
What three tracks would you pick for your desert island disco? This is so hard! But seeing as I can only take three...
Faithless - Insomnia
Snap - Rhythm Is A Dancer (it's my most listened to i-Pod track for a reason!)
N Trance - Set You Free
My desert island disco would be more like a beach style rave!
What’s your favourite ‘wake-up and get the breakfast on’ track? The Offspring - Pretty Fly (For A White Guy).
What’s your favourite Sunday morning track? Moby - Porcelain / All Saints - Pure Shores.
What’s your favourite ‘getting ready to go out’ track? Gary Newman - Cars. Don't ask me why - I had it on the other day while making breakfast and it just seemed to fit!
What’s your karaoke track of choice? Frank Sinatra - Fly Me To The Moon
Life in London...
What’s your favourite London place: I love Camden so much. Shopping in the retro stores, seeing new and upcoming bands. The really small interesting shops and cafes that feel different to those in any other part of town.
Favourite drinking hole in London: I'm very much a pub crawl type of guy. So it's one drink in one place, then onto the next! So hate to say this, but don't have a favourite at the moment. I'll investigate and update this if I change my mind, though.
Favourite restaurant in London: I hardly ever eat out.. but one place I always end up in, purely based on their milkshakes alone, is Ed's Diner . There is one about 5 minutes from Leicester Square, and I'm addicted!
Favourite place to get away from it all in town: Hyde Park.
Favourite thing to do in London: I love the nightlife in London. Going to a bar or a club and meeting new people. The sound of loud music spilling out into the streets does it for me every time.
Favourite place to go shopping: Has to be Knightsbridge and Kings Road, or Oxford Street
Favourite show you’ve seen in London: My all time favourite would be "An Inspector Calls" right across the street from Capital at the Garrick Theatre.
Tell us a little known fact about this glorious city of ours: Theres no-where in town you can't get to in 20 minutes at 8am on a Sunday morning
Time to get personal...
What makes you laugh? My friends. Lame answer but so true.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? Keep it real!
What’s your favourite movie and why? 10 Things I Hate About You - because it's classic and Julia Stiles is amazing!
Who do you call when you get good news? My mum.
Which bit of your body do you like the least? My tummy and the way it sticks out :(
Why didn’t you ask me about... The time I got lost in London at 4.30am?
What were you like at school? Bit of a geek who talked too much in lessons.
I’m most proud of... Myself, for answering this many questions!
We’re buying, what will you have? Anything?? Uhmm....one of those nice new apartments by Waterloo Station overlooking Big Ben - always see them on the way
into work!
I’m ill, please get me... Orange flavoured Lucazade, some grapes, oranges and toast!!
Worst job I ever had: Canvasser for a double glazing firm.
From my wardrobe you can have... My blazer with sewn in hoodie combo. Really needs to be seen to be believed. Actually, to be fair, I'd probably still wear it occasionally if I could fit into it.
My party trick is... Card tricks! I used to study magic.
If you’re getting a takeaway I’ll have... A subway with chicken, cheese, little bit of lettuce, lots of mayo...
Facebook is... The best invention since sliced bread.
I’d make a rubbish Apprentice for Sir Alan because... Me and Margaret would spend all day drinking coffee in Soho
I would win Big Brother because... I'd bribe Johnny and Denise to support me on their show and get the whole of London to vote!
The first thing I do when I get out of the Capital studio is... Head home to bed! Pretty sleepy when I finish at 6am
